What this pair is
A 3 mm strip of leather-faced foam that adheres inside the heel collar to take up 2 to 3 mm of slack where the collar meets the heel.
It changes the internal shape at the collar only. It does not change the padding under the heel, which is stated separately on each product page.
This is a wear part. Nothing is claimed for it beyond its thickness and its material.
